Moskowitz Prize Virtual Discussion: Biodiversity Risk, 2023 Moskowitz Prize Winner

The 2023 Moskowitz Prize winning paper will be presented by co-author Theresa Kuchler. Theresa will give a 30-minute overview of the research and discuss distinguishing features of biodiversity risk in sustainable finance. In this paper, the authors quantify biodiversity risks and its exposures on multiple dimensions, highlighting its effects on equities prices and documenting its differences from climate risks. The 30-minute presentation will be followed by 30 minutes of Q&A and will be moderated by Meeta Kothare, Professor of Practice in the McCombs School of Business and the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
